In the KQEN Business Spotlight:

The City of Roseburg has partnered with CCD Business Development Corporation to offer an opportunity for local, small businesses to receive economic aid due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

The grant is funded by the Oregon Business Development Department, also known as Business Oregon, and was created for businesses who could not qualify for federal CARES Act funding, such as the Small Business Administration Paycheck Protection Program. Small businesses, who have 25 or fewer employees, can apply for economic relief through the program, according to the City release.

Theresa Haga, Executive Director of the CCD Business Development Center said many local businesses were hit hard by the economic downturn caused in part due to COVID-19. She said the grant program is for those businesses that were unable to get assistance. Due to limited funding, small business owners are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

Eligible grant amounts range between $2,500 and $25,000 and are dependent on several factors in the application process. To fill out an application for the COVID-19 Emergency Business Grant, go to: https://www.ccdbusiness.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/CCD-Grant.pdf.

Completed applications may require supporting documentation in order to receive funding. There is no deadline to apply. However, funds are limited and applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis. Go to www.ccdbusiness.org for more information about the CCD Business Development Corporation.
