COVID-19 CLAIMS 5 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 220

COVID-19 has claimed 5 more lives, with the state death toll at 220 as of Tuesday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 218 new cases, raising the state total to 10,605. The new reported cases include:

*52 in Multnomah County

*27 in Washington County

*23 in Marion County

*20 in Umatilla County

*18 in Clackamas County

*16 in Yamhill County

*15 in Lane County

*7 in Malheur County

*6 in Polk County

*5 in Union County

*4 in Coos County

*3 in Douglas, Josephine and Hood River counties

*2 each in Benton, Jefferson, Morrow and Wasco counties

*1 each in Crook, Columbia Klamath, Lake, Lincoln, Linn and Wallowa counties

The new reported deaths range in age from 56 to 93. 3 were women and 2 were men. 2 lived in Marion County with 1 each in Multnomah, Linn and Yamhill counties.

An outbreak of 22 cases of COVID-19 has been reported at Columbia River Processing in Morrow County. The cases include all persons linked to the outbreak, which may include household members and other close contacts to an employee. State and county public health officials are working with the business to address the outbreak and protect the health of the employees, according to the OHA.
