COVID-19 CLAIMS 2 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 215 AS OF SUNDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 2 more lives, with the state death toll at 215 as of Sunday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 301 new confirmed and presumptive cases bringing the state total to 10,230.

The new cases include:

*72 in Multnomah County

*51 in Washington County

*41 in Umatilla County

*38 in Marion County

*25 in Clackamas County

*15 in Malheur County

*10 in Lane County

*9 in Morrow County

*8 in Deschutes County

*7 in Yamhill County

*5 in Hood River County

*4 in Douglas County

*3 each in Jackson Josephine, Columbia and Wasco counties

*1 each in Crook, Jefferson, Sherman and Union counties

Douglas County Public Health Officer Dr. Bob Dannenhoffer said the 4 new cases reported by OHA include 1 new confirmed case, and 3 presumptive cases which were reported on Saturday by the Douglas Public Health Network.

Oregon’s 214th COVID-19 death is a 96-year old woman in Lincoln County who tested positive on June 30th and died on July 2nd at her residence.

Oregon’s 215th COVID-19 death is a 70-year old man in Marion County who tested positive on June 11th and died on July 3 at Salem Hospital.

Both had underlying medical conditions, according to the OHA.
