Women’s ‘Just for Fun’ summer golf is back for another season at the Stewart Park Golf Course in Roseburg.

A release from the City of Roseburg Parks and Recreation Department said the “fun light-hearted” class is perfect for friends old and new.

Each class is on held Monday evenings, July 6th and 20th and on August 3rd and 17th. Players can choose one or all of the classes. Check in begins at 5:00 p.m. with tee times at 5:30 p.m.

The release said players will need to bring their own set of clubs and have a basic understanding of golf. Players do not have to have an established handicap in order to participate.

Parks and Recreation Program Coordinator Vel Ligon said the classes give women an opportunity to play together in a relaxed environment. The fee to join the women’s class is $5 per night plus a green fee of $10. Cart rentals are available for $5 per rider.
