Sunday night Roseburg Police arrested two men who were identified as suspects in a recent assault with a baseball bat.

A report from Roseburg Police said the incident allegedly occurred at the Rodeway Inn on Jun 16th. The men were contacted at a residence in the 1500 block of Southeast Stephens at about 11:15 p.m.

38-year old Anthony Pierce with charged with first degree assault. A charge of unlawful possession of methamphetamine was added as well after the man reportedly was found to have the drug on his person. His bail was initially set at $425,000. 40-year old Erik Anderson was charged with second-degree assault. He was initially held on $250,000 bail.

No further information was released regarding the case.
