ONE JAILED, ONE CITED, IN BURGLARY INCIDENT

One person was jailed and one was cited, in a burglary incident on Sunday night.

Information from Roseburg Police said at about 5:45 p.m. a victim reported finding two people inside the residence she manages, in the 500 block of West Umpqua. Officers arrived and found 32-year old John O’Neill and a woman inside the house. The report said O’Neill had allegedly caused damage to the upstairs carpet by extinguishing his cigarette in it. The victim claimed the that burn was so deep, the entire room would need new flooring.

O’Neil was charged with first degree burglary and detained on $250,000 bail. The woman was cited and released for first degree criminal trespass.
