COVID-19 has claimed 1 more life, with the state death toll at 202 as of Saturday.
An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 277 new confirmed and presumptive cases, bringing the state total to 8,094. This is the second highest daily case count since the pandemic began. The new cases reported Saturday included:
*59 in Multnomah County
*56 in Umatilla County
*44 in Washington County
*32 in Marion County
*16 in Clackamas County
*14 in Lane County
*12 in Malheur County
*11 in Union County
*5 in Morrow County
*4 each in Linn and Yamhill counties
*3 in Deschutes and Jefferson counties
*2 each in Benton, Josephine, Polk, Lincoln and Wasco counties
*1 each in Columbia, Coos, Crook, and Lake counties
Oregon’s 202nd COVID-19 death is an 84-year old man in Multnomah County who became symptomatic on June 21st after close contact with a confirmed case, and died on June 22nd. His place of death is being confirmed. He had underlying medical conditions.
