ROSEBURG HITS RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURE TUESDAY

Roseburg hit a record high temperature for the date on Tuesday.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said the mercury reached 97 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport. The previous record high for the date was 94 degrees, set in 2017. Tuesday was also the hottest day so far in 2020. Prior to that, the hottest day had been May 28th when the high was 93 degrees.

Medford was the warmest location in the state, getting to 101 degrees but it wasn’t a record. The record high for the date was 104 degrees, set in 1926.

Temperatures are backing down to the mid 80’s for the Umpqua Valley Wednesday, with the Rogue Valley in the low 90’s.
