Staff with the Douglas County Public Works Department has announced that the Yellow Creek boat ramp outside of Sutherlin is closed through this Friday.
A release said the Parks Department is completing much needed repairs to the boat ramp so will not allow public use this week.
Heavy equipment and construction crews are on site. The upper area of the park remains open but the public is asked to exercise caution and maintain a safe distance from the construction zone if they are visiting the area.
The Yellow Creek boat ramp is along the Umpqua River about 12 miles west of Sutherlin. It features a boat ramp and parking area along the river, with benches for scenic viewing, along with a memorial marker.
