1 NEW CASE OF COVID-19 IN COUNTY AS OF FRIDAY

There is 1 new case of COVID-19 in Douglas County as of Friday.

County Public Health Officer Dr. Bob Dannenhoffer told News Radio 1240 KQEN that this case is related to one of the cases reported on Thursday, and is also due to exposure during out of state travel. 2 of the 3 cases announced Thursday are related to each other though Dannenhoffer could not say if the new case is related to the individual or to the 2 people.

An update from the Douglas Public Health Network said of the 33 confirmed cases in the county, 28 have recovered. There have been zero deaths and 1 person is still hospitalized. 4,107 people have tested negative for COVID-19 in the county.

The Local COVID-19 Hotline remains open seven days a week for those who have questions about the virus. It is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and is staffed by local volunteers. Call 464-6550.
