Echo Every Child will have an Explore Fostering Event on Monday night.
A release said the need for foster care in Douglas County is ever growing. Over 400 children in the area need at least one day in foster care and there are less than 180 certified foster homes to place them in.
Opportunities to help include relief activities, plus short and long-term fostering in addition to becoming an adoptive forever family.
The event will give residents an opportunity to ask questions and learn about fostering from local foster parents and Department of Human Services caseworkers.
