MAN SENT TO HOSPITAL AFTER SEMI-TRUCK CRASH

A California man was sent to the hospital after a semi-truck crash on Thursday afternoon.’
A report from the Oregon State Police said just after 4:45 p.m. the northbound vehicle crashed in the Wilbur area. The report said the operator lost control of the tractor-trailer combo after the vehicles hit the gravel shoulder. The rigs overturned and came to rest on the dirt embankment.
The driver, a 56-year old man from California, was taken to Mercy Medical Center for what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries. An investigation into the accident is continuing.
Traffic was delayed in getting through the area for a time.
