On Friday, crews with Central Oregon and Pacific Railroad will be making repairs to the rail crossing near the intersection of Northwest Stewart Parkway and Northeast Airport Road.
Communications Specialist Eric Johnson with the City of Roseburg said workers will be repairing the rail and crossing panels. Johnson said between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., the railroad crossing will be closed to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic while the repairs are being made.,
Westbound traffic along Northwest Stewart Parkway will be detoured around the work area using Northwest Mulholland Drive and Aviation Drive. Eastbound traffic along Northwest Stewart Parkway will be rerouted to Northeast Airport Road. Detour signs will be posted to direct traffic during the closure.
Johnson said drivers should exercise caution and plan accordingly while the repairs are being conducted. He said motorists who use Northwest Stewart Parkway for their daily commutes are highly advised to use a different route.
