A Roseburg man was jailed for unlawful possession of a firearm, by Roseburg Police Wednesday morning.
Information from RPD said just before 1:00 a.m. the 32-year old was contacted on the bike path in Charles Gardiner Park near Edenbower Boulevard. The report said he attempted to conceal a firearm inside a dumpster by kicking it underneath the gate. The report said the weapon was located and found to be stolen. The man is a convicted felon.
The man was also charged with a warrant that was out for his arrest and for a parole violation. He was detained without bail.
