In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:
Umpqua Valley Arts is creating a digital collection of images, essays, drawings, photos, videos and more that were made in quarantine. A release said they will be shown in a virtual exhibit called COVID-19 Diaries: The Quarantine Projects.
Residents 18 and older are asked to participate regardless of whether or not they consider themselves to be an artist. Single images of art, photos, photo sequences, text, video and audio submissions are all accepted.
The release said the UVA wants to know and document what residents have been thinking about, what is important to them and what they have been making.
COVID-19 Diaries: The Quarantine Projects is a fundraising project. All proceeds will go toward UVA’s operational fund, so there is a small fee of $5 per image to submit the artwork.
