The FISH Food Pantry of Roseburg remains open to help those in need but continues with modifications
Board President Nis Jessen said they are erring on the side of safety for their volunteers. Jessen said the pantry is still open Mondays and Wednesdays from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and on Thursdays and Fridays from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Jessen said residents can stop by to leave physical food donations, during those hours as well. Donations are accepted to the west side of the pantry by a big overhead door. He said they are doing quarantine measures for a few days on all incoming food donations.
FISH will not have the Roseburg Food Project pickup of green bags in June but plans to resume that in August. Jessen said while they have seen a huge drop in the amount of physical donations, residents, businesses, foundations and Roseburg Food Project donors have been extra generous in giving their financial support.
The pantry is located in the non-profit campus off of Northeast Stephens, just north of Costco. Go to www.fishofroseburg.org for more information about the Fish Food Pantry.
