THATCHER PLANS DOUGLAS COUNTY VISIT

June 2, 2020 10:30 a.m.
Republican candidate for Secretary of State Kim Thatcher will visit Douglas County later this week, as she begins her General Election campaign.
A release said Thatcher plans to tour the Elliot State Forest Thursday to observe the habitat and forestry situation. If she wins the race in November, part of her responsibilities as Secretary of State would be to sit on the Stand Land Board which oversees management of the Elliot. She will also meet with elected officials while in Roseburg that day.
Thursday night at 6:00 p.m. Thatcher will host a community town hall at the Douglas County Church Annex on Southeast Douglas Avenue in Roseburg. The release said social distancing will be observed limiting in-person attendance to no more than 25. Zoom video conferencing will be available to local residents who would like to participate in the event virtually.
Thatcher will appear on the Morning Conversation Friday at 8:30 a.m. on News Radio 1240 KQEN.
