Roseburg Public Schools has a vacancy on its Board of Directors, following the recent resignation of Board Chair Joe Garcia.
An appointment will be made to fill the vacancy with the person selected, serving through June 30th, 2021. At the next regular district election in May 0f 2021, a successor will be elected to serve the remainder of the regular term from July of 2021 through the end of June in 2023.
Those that are interested in serving on the board can submit a written letter of interest to the Office of the Superintendent. Letters are requested to be received by July 1st. Appointment to the board may be made by the six current members at their regular meeting on July 15th.
To be eligible to apply, a candidate must be a registered voter, have been a resident of the district for one year immediately prior to appointment, and not be an official employee of the Roseburg Public Schools.
