A spokesperson for Roseburg Forest Products said its plants in Douglas County are operating as usual during this time of COVID-19.
Communications Director Rebecca Taylor told News Radio 1240 KQEN that the company has been fortunate to keep all its plants operating during the pandemic. She said that’s been great for their employees and for the country, as wood products have been deemed essential to maintaining the economy.
Addressing rumors in the community. Taylor said there have been no curtailments due to COVID-19 or for any other reasons. Taylor said, “we plan to continue to operate as usual for this time of year”. She said there are no planned furloughs or layoffs at this point.
