The City of Winston has a few opportunities for residents to get involved in city government.
*There are two vacancies on the Planning Commission, with terms expiring at the end of 2021 and the end of 2023. The group meets once per month on a Wednesday evening and at other times as needed.
*The Parks Board has one vacancy with the term expiring at the end of 2022. Those applying must live inside the city limits. The board meets the second Monday of each month.
*The Urban Renewal Advisory Committee has two vacancies with terms expiring at the end of 2020 and the end of 2022. Members must live inside the city limits. The group meets as needed.
