A 28-year old man was arrested for 4th degree felony assault on Monday night.
A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said around 11:30 p.m. a deputy was sent to a reported assault in the 800 block of South Main Street in Myrtle Creek. The deputy determined that the suspect had assaulted a victim in the presence of minor children. The report said the man had also broken two phones during the incident when the victim tried to call law enforcement.
The man was also held for interference with making a report. Bail was initially set at $56,250.
