A Myrtle Creek man was cited for a reported attempted burglary early Monday morning.
A report from Roseburg Police said at about 4:10 a.m. officers responded to a residence in the 800 block of West Luellen for a report of a man who was attempting to break into a home. The report said the suspect was contacted near the intersection of Indianola and Jay and was detained. Officers reviewed video footage which allegedly showed the man trying to get into the residence unsuccessfully and stealing some tools outside before leaving the area.
The 51-year old was charged with second degree burglary and for third degree theft. He was released from custody later in the day.
