BODY LOCATED IN SOUTH UMPQUA RIVER IDENTIFIED

A body found across from Templin Beach in the South Umpqua River in Roseburg has been identified as a man missing since last fall.
Sergeant Brad O’Dell of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said through the use of dental records, the remains were identified as those of Samuel Davison. The man went missing in September of 2019 at age 36. O’Dell said an autopsy and scene investigation have been conducted and foul play is not suspected at this time. The body was located on Saturday May 9th.
Investigators are still seeking information in the case. Anyone with details regarding the man’s disappearance is asked to call the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office at 440-4458.
