Nearly 27 percent of registered voters have cast a ballot in the May Primary Election as of Friday.
Douglas County Clerk Dan Loomis told News Radio 1240 KQEN that 22,172 ballots have been received. That’s nearly 4 percent ahead of the same time in the May 2018 election. However, the participation rate is currently behind the last presidential election in 2016 by close to 7 percent.
Loomis said voters should utilize one of the 13 drop sites to turn their ballots in. The list of locations is linked with this story at www.541radio.com.
