A 41-year old man was jailed on multiple charges following a traffic stop on Thursday night.
Information from Sutherlin Police said the vehicle was stopped just before 7:30 p.m. in the 500 block of South State Street because it had expired registration and switched tags from another vehicle. It was discovered that the driver, 41-year old Bryan Michel had a warrant and was in possession of body armor. The man also allegedly gave false information claiming the vehicle was insured.
Michel was held for being a felon in possession of body armor, for giving false insurance information and for the warrant. He was detained on $60,000 bail but was released from custody Friday morning.
