METH JAILED FOR METH, WEAPON CHARGE

A Canyonville man was jailed for unlawful possession of methamphetamine and for possession of a restricted weapon on Tuesday night.
A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at around 10:00 p.m. deputies responded to a disturbance in the 600 block of Stagecoach. The report said during the investigation deputies were approached by Alec Berard. The deputies shined a flashlight at the suspect and saw him toss something on the ground. The deputies reportedly found a small clear plastic bag containing a white glassy substance. The 28-year old was searched and was found to be in possession of a stun gun as well.
Berard was initially detained without bail and parole violation charge was added as well.
