1.5 Percent of voters in Douglas County have already returned their Primary Election ballot.
Douglas County Clerk Dan Loomis said as of Monday 1,239 ballots have come in.
Loomis said it’s too early for any prediction as to what percentage of voters will cast a ballot. Loomis said he is interested to see the influence of many factors including the pandemic, the new prepaid postage for returning ballots, and the presidential election cycle.
Voters have until May 19th at 8:00 p.m. to get their ballot in. Information regarding the drop site locations where ballots can be returned is posted: http://www.co.douglas.or.us/clerk/drop_site_locations.asp
