NON-RESIDENTS CAN HUNT AND FISH AGAIN IN OREGON STARTING TUESDAY

Non-residents can fish and hunt again in Oregon beginning on Tuesday.
An update from the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife said recreational clamming and crabbing will remain closed to non-residents until further notice.
ODFW is lifting the non-resident restrictions in line with some loosening of restrictions on outdoor recreation in the state and region. Washington state will also reopen to most fishing on Tuesday.
Both states will reopen salmon and steelhead fishing on the Columbia River this week.
The update said due to concerns about increased travel to the coast during the summer months while the COVID-19 pandemic continues, crabbing and clamming will remain closed to non-residents for now. Oregon residents who do not live at the coast should not travel there to crab or clam, according to ODFW. Beach access may also be closed.
Hunters and anglers should check for access before they go. Fishing is open but the boat ramp or park recreationists may want to go to could be closed. ODFW doesn’t control access to land or facilities that it does not manage.
