Effective Monday, all Costco stores, including the one in Roseburg, are requiring that customers wear a face covering that covers the nose and mouth at all times.
That makes the retailer the first store in Roseburg to have that requirement.
Employees have already been required to wear a face covering. Information from Costco’s website said “we know some members may find this inconvenient or objectionable, but under the circumstances we believe the added safety is worth any inconvenience”. The post said the rule would not apply to children under age 2, or people who are unable to wear a face covering due to a medical condition.
Staff at the Roseburg store told News Radio 1240 KQEN that it is returning to its regular hours of operation. That is 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. weekdays, 9:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturdays and 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sundays. The first hour of operation weekdays continues to be reserved for shoppers age 60 and over.
