WOMAN HURT WHEN VEHICLE HITS TREE

A Roseburg woman was hurt when her vehicle struck a tree on Tuesday night.
A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at 10:30 p.m. the 35-year old called to report she had been in an accident in the 9,000 block of Coos Bay Wagon Road. The woman said she swerved to miss a deer but then hit the tree. The woman had serious injuries and was taken to Mercy Medical Center before being transported by air ambulance to Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend in Springfield.
The report said there were no signs of intoxicants. The vehicle had heavy front-end damage and had to be towed from the scene.
