There were no new cases of COVID-19 in Douglas County as of Friday.
Information from the Douglas County COVID-19 Response Team said the county still has 23 positive cases. 14 of those have recovered. There have been zero deaths and 796 people have tested negative for COVID-19. 2 of the positive cases remain hospitalized at different hospitals.
Those having symptoms of COVID-19 including cough, fever, shortness of breath, muscle aches and pains, diarrhea, sore throat, or decreased sense of smell and taste, should talk to their health care provider about being tested for COVID-19.
Given the growing availability of commercial labs and the improving availability of testing supplies and personal protective equipment, the Douglas Public Health Network has revised their guidelines to providers on testing. DPHN has advised the local health care community alerting them of the increased availability of testing for their patients. Testing without a provider order is not yet available.
