A group of local care providers has come together to establish a Douglas County Healthcare Worker Support Line which went live this week.
Information from the Douglas County COVID-19 Response Team said local health care workers can access the service by calling 677-5800. The line is available Mondays through Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. A website has also been set up: https://adaptoregon.org/cmhr/ It has additional resources for protecting the mental and physical health of medical workers.
Workers needing additional, ongoing help such as therapy or counseling can be connected to those services through the phone line or the website.
The support line is a cooperative effort that involved Adapt, Aviva, Lower Umpqua Hospital, Mercy Medical Center, and Umpqua Health Alliance.
