The Rogue-South Coast Multi Species Conservation and Management Plan stakeholder teams will meet virtually next week to continue the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife’s plan development process for winter and summer steelhead, coho salmon and cutthroat trout.
A release from ODFW said due to the Governor’s Stay Home, Save Lives order, the meetings are held online and by teleconference and are open to public observation. The South Coast meeting will be April 29th with the Rogue meeting April 30th. Both meetings will run from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and the agenda will be posted: https://www.dfw.state.or.us/fish/CRP/rogue_south_coast_multi-species_conservation%20and%20Management_plan.asp
Public comments will not be taken at the meetings.
ODFW staff will present information on management of Rogue and South Coast hatcheries, angling, and other fish species not included in the plan. The stakeholder teams represent conservation and angling groups, watershed councils, fishing guides, recreational anglers and government entities. The teams will meet again in May, and staff hopes to have a draft plan ready for public review later this summer.
