Covering coastal Douglas County:
U.S. Highway 101 will be closed Wednesday night at the Umpqua River Bridge in Reedsport.
Dan Latham of the Oregon Department of Transportation said the closure will begin at 10:00 p.m. and last until 4:00 a.m. Thursday. The closure will allow contractors to replace of the two damaged crossbeams on the bridge. Another nighttime closure of the bridge is tentatively planned for Monday night.
Latham said emergency service providers will be given priority through the work zone during all closures.
