DRAIN MAN JAILED FOR ALLEGED ATTACK

A Drain man was jailed after an alleged attack on Saturday.
A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said just after 1:30 a.m. a victim said that 27-year old Michael Barklow had attacked him in the 200 block of South Main Street. The victim also lives at that location.
The report said the victim was found to have a small cut on his nose, and bruising and excessive bloodshot in his left eye. The victim said the suspect had choked him with his hand. Abrasions were seen on the victim’s neck, according to the report.
It said that said Barklow admitted to the attack, the allegations and more. He was charged with fourth degree assault, strangulation and harassment and was initially detained on $15,000 bail.
