HERVEY NAMED FUTURE FIRST CITIZEN BY RHS FOUNDATION

Isabelle Hervey has been named the Future First Citizen by the Roseburg High School Foundation.
The announcement came during a Facebook Live event on the organization’s social media page Thursday night.
Hervey wins $10,000 towards tuition at the college of her choice. Hervey is the daughter of Gregg and Sharon Hervey. She has a 4.0 GPA at RHS. Hervey plans to study either education or engineering in college with career goals of teaching and STEM outreach. At RHS she is the student body president and is in the National Honor Society. She is a senior ballet student at Chitwood School of Dance. Hervey received a gold medal for her “Focus on Children” with the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America and has been involved with a number of other organizations.
Semi-finalists Brighid Rickman, Ashtyn Hooten, Colby Fairbairn and Quinlan Wedge, each receive $4,000 for college.
Foundation President Brian Prawitz said the group is proud to have brought the Future First Citizen Award back to Roseburg. He said “we are proud of Isabelle and the other semi-finalists and look forward to their contributions for years to come.”
