Compass Behavioral Health has mental health support available during the COVID-19 pandemic.
A release said new protocols to reach people seeking treatment for mental health have been implemented.
Compass Clinical Director Cherie Barnstable said “for people with existing mental health conditions like anxiety, depression, PTSD and other forms of mental illness, the effects of the pandemic can be far reaching – making many symptoms infinitely worse”.
The release said Compass continues to offer a full range of mental health treatment services via telehealth. Services offered include crisis intervention, assessment, individual, family and group counseling, care management, peer services and referral to medication management.
Barnstable said new and existing clients can engage in telehealth services by phone or computer from the safety of their homes. She said in-person treatment remains available for those who cannot access telehealth. Open Access scheduling can connect clients with a provider on the same day, according to Barnstable.
People seeking in-person treatment are asked screening questions and will have their temperature taken. Those feeling sick are asked to call before coming in.
