Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office are on the scene following several reports of gunfire in the 400 block of Southwest Fourth Street in Canyonville.
Sergeant Brad O’Dell said multiple law enforcement officers from several jurisdictions are assisting DCSO.
Residents in the area are being asked to lock themselves inside their homes. O’Dell said this is an active scene and the public is asked to avoid the area for the safety of both the community and law enforcement.
