PASSENGER HOSPITALIZED AFTER TWO-VEHICLE CRASH

A passenger was hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash on Saturday night.
A report from Roseburg Police said at about 5:20 p.m. a 31-year old woman was driving southbound on Spruce and failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection with Washington. The woman’s vehicle struck a vehicle that was going west on Washington, causing it to spin onto the south shoulder of the roadway.
The first vehicle sustained heavy front-end damage while the second vehicle had heavy rear passenger side damage as well as drivetrain damage. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
A passenger in the vehicle hit complained of severe chest pain so was transported to Mercy Medical Center.
The woman who caused the accident was cited for having no operator’s license, driving uninsured and for failure to obey a traffic control device.
