The Oregon Community Foundation has pledged $24,000 to Greater Douglas United Way’s COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund.
A United Way release said all funds raised will stay local and will be used to provide support for community organizations and individuals in need as a result of the pandemic.
The release said OCF puts donated money to work in Oregon, with more than $100 million in grants and scholarships annually. It has been in existence for nearly 45 years.
Others wanting to help the fund can make an online donation at www.gduway.org. Checks can also be mailed to United Way, 702 Southeast Jackson Street in Roseburg, 97470. They can also be taken to any branch of Banner Bank in the county.
