To protect the health and safety of patients, the community and employees during the COVID-19 outbreak, Lower Umpqua Hospital in Reedsport is now closed to visitors. A release said exceptions will be made on a case by case situation. Patients are encouraged to visit loved ones by phone calls or by using Facebook or Skype.
Chief Administrative Officer, Ryan Fowler said if someone needs their circumstances evaluated, they should call the hospital at 541-271-2171 and ask for the unit’s nurse manager.
Anyone entering the hospital is subject to a medical screening before they enter the facility.
