April 1, 2020 6:00 a.m.
A Frost Advisory and a Freeze Watch are in effect for central Douglas County from 10:00 p.m. Wednesday night through Thursday morning at 9:00 a.m.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service said the Frost Advisory includes much of the area including Roseburg, Sutherlin, Tri-City, Tiller, Elkton and Drain. The Freeze Watch includes the valleys of the southwestern parts of the county including Azalea, Glendale and Camas Valley.
In the advisory areas, lows between 32 and 36 degrees will result in frost formation. In the watch locations, sub-freezing temperatures of 29 to 31 degrees are likely.
Forecasters said frost and freezing conditions can damage or kill crops and other sensitive vegetation. Residents should take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.
