Officials with the Douglas Public Health Network tested approximately 45 people for COVID-19 at a drive through clinic on Friday.
An update said the event was held at the Douglas County Fairgrounds. Only patients who had been identified by their health care provider as someone who was symptomatic were tested. The tests were sent to Quest Lab for processing. The results will be sent back in about a week, to the physician that ordered the test. 170 people have tested negative for COVID-19 in Douglas County as of Friday.
While residents are still urged to “Stay Home, Stay Safe”, leaving home to donate blood is still considered a lifesaving and essential need. The American Red Cross has two blood drives coming up:
*Monday from 12:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Red Cross Donor Center on Garden Valley Boulevard.
*Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in downtown Roseburg.

Many grocery stores have chosen to stop accepting bottle returns during the COVID-19 crisis. They have been given the authority to do so through April 30th by the Oregon Liquor Control Commission. Residents should hold onto their bottles for now.
