Organizers with the Sutherlin Blackberry Festival have cancelled the event for 2020.
The notice said the festival which has taken place for 32 years cannot be held due to the recent State Executive Order. The notice said “we had hoped to give people a chance to celebrate, to gather, to enjoy each other’s company in August”. It continued: “it is with great sadness that we notify our supporters and sponsors that we are cancelling our event”
The notice said the Sutherlin Blackberry Festival will return again in 2021.
