ROSEBURG VA LIMITING TRAFFIC THROUGH CAMPUS

March 27, 2020 3:35 a.m.
The Roseburg VA Health Care System is asking residents in its area to limit non-clinical or un-official visits to its five facilities.
That includes the main campus in Roseburg, two clinics in Eugene and community- based outpatient clinics in North Bend and Brookings. VA Police Chief Gregory Straub said the request is a required step in ongoing efforts to limit the spread of COVID-19.
Many previously scheduled appointments have been rescheduled, but the Urgent Care is still open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Straub said all patrons are asked to limit visits to official business or to keep scheduled appointments.
Public Affairs Director Tim Parish told News Radio 1240 KQEN that limitation includes those who might normally walk or drive through the VA grounds.
Patient companions are limited to one person per veteran per visit. Companions must be age 16 or older. Any additional companions or guests will be asked to wait outside the facility.
