The Umpqua Valley Arts Association is seeking a new Executive Director to lead and serve the non-profit organization.
Community Outreach Director Sarah Holborrow told News Radio 1240 KQEN that Executive Director Jeneen Hartley has resigned, after being offered a position with the Douglas Education Service District.
The UVAA release said it is a nonprofit organization, dedicated to art education, art appreciation, service to artists and art organizations, and to the Douglas County community. It was established more than 50 years ago and over time, “has become the heartbeat for culture and art in the Umpqua Valley”.
Applications will close March 31st.  Go to: https://files.constantcontact.com/7e6e7db9001/91915cba-889a-41df-a676-158c64b8f437.pdf for more information.
Holborrow said Hartley plans to remain active as a UVAA volunteer and potential board member. She said the board appreciates a number of major wins Hartley achieved during her ten months on the job. That includes an award that helped to fund the new Community Outreach position, getting a new logo and website designed, initializing essential partnerships with key members of the community and more.
