In response to efforts to avoid community spreading of COVID-19, the City of Winston has closed all its buildings to the public effective immediately and continuing until further notice.
City Manager Mark Bauer said that City operations will continue. He said staff will be monitoring the phones and dealing with emergencies only. This closure also includes suspending Dial-a-Ride operations. Bauer said should staff be required to respond to an emergency, they will be practicing social distancing. He said the Winston Police will continue to be to patrol and be available for emergency calls.
Utility payments can be mailed in, dropped off in the payment box at city hall or made online to www.winstoncity.org.
The Winston City Council declared a State of Emergency last week due to the COVID-19 situation.
