COVID-19 CLAIMS ANOTHER LIFE, 24 NEW CASES IN OREGON

COVID-19 has claimed another life in Oregon, with 24 new cases being reported on Sunday.
An update from the Oregon Health Authority said the state’s death toll from COVID-19 is now at 5.
A total of 161 cases of the virus have been reported. The new cases include:
*13 in Washington County.
*3 in Marion County.
*2 each in Yamhill and Benton counties.
*1 each in Clackamas, Deschutes, Lane, and Multnomah counties
The new death was in Linn County. A veteran in his 90s, tested positive on March 11th and died on Sunday morning at the Oregon Veteran’s Home in Lebannon. He had underlying health conditions.
Oregon Department of Veterans Affairs Director Kelly Fitzpatrick said, “our hearts are heavy”. He said the resident was a veteran who “served our nation with honor and dignity in its hour of need”.
