WILDLIFE SAFARI REMAINING OPEN FOR DRIVE THROUGH

March 21, 2020 6:00 p.m.
Wildlife Safari’s drive through will remain open but other areas of the park have been closed down.
After running the drive through only on Saturday, Executive Director Dan Van Slyke said the decision was reached to keep the game park open. Van Slyke told News Radio 1240 KQEN that the staff believes they can maintain a safe atmosphere for children and families faced with the prospect of few options for stimulation and entertainment. Van Slyke said there was a “tremendous response” from those who came out to the park Saturday.
Van Slyke said the drive through keeps people away from others as they are in their own vehicles practicing social distancing from others. He said the Safari Village, animal encounters, and other activities are not available.
