Officials with Oregon State Police are seeking assistance from the public as they investigate a sex abuse case in Douglas County.
A release from OSP said on March 1st a trooper conducted a traffic stop in the Glide area. The driver, 21-year old Brandyn Olinger of Winston, was accompanied by a 15-year old female passenger. The trooper contacted the girl’s mother and determined that the teen did not have permission to be with Olinger. The girl’s mother came and picked her up from the traffic stop.
Oregon State Police detectives followed up and based on the information learned during the investigation, a search warrant was granted for Olinger’s residence and vehicle.
On Tuesday, OSP, assisted by Winston Police, served a search warrant at Olinger’s home.
The report said that several items were seized. Olinger was placed into custody on charges of using a child in a display of sexually explicit conduct, encouraging child sex abuse in both the first and second degree, online sexual corruption of a child in the first degree and for tampering with physical evidence.
Olinger was initially detained on $631,250 bail.
OSP believes there may be more victims in the case. Olinger also goes by the name of Brandon Moxey. Anyone with information is asked to call the Roseburg office of OSP.
